hi i have a 2002 kawasaki prairie 650 and i am in the process of putting a 2 inch lift on it . i took the shocks off and just for the heck of it i removed the spring (here's my question) how hard should it be to push the shock piston down? and should it open under its own pressure like a car shock does? i can push my shock piston down with very little effort(one finger) and then it stays down until i pull it back up. i dont know if ths is normal or not. thanks!
