Juniors Suzuki has sat for about 6 weeks. Last time I ran it I had to jump start it. This time I got it running with the pull start, ran for about 3 minutes and died. Wouldn't even try to turn over, jumped it and still nothing. Is it possible the battery is completely drained? Would a trickle charger help or should I just pick up a new battery?

Do you use stabilizer in your gas?

No we don't in his. We drain the gas before winter usually. We use it in our machines though. It's probably the same gas from April or May.

Gas starts to degrade now after as little as 3 days depending on the actual quality of the gas. If your not going to use an engine for more than a week, the fuel should be changed or stabilizer added. All my power equipment gets feed premium gas with a marine grade stabilizer. Never had any issues and the rototiller gas is 2 years old and still starts right up.

I get that, but bad gas usually makes it run rough or stall. It won't even try to turnover. I am going to put it on the trickle charger and see what happens. My machine has had the same gas since June and it runs fine.

I vote gas too. My Grizz had not been started in a few months and now my carb is needing cleaned. Wont start either...same symptom as you described.

I even changed gas...still no start. Im sure it has turned to varnish and gummed up my jets and or needle/seat.

Sucks too...as its not an easy task to remove a Grizz 660 carb! lol. I'll be sure to turn the **** to off next time and run all of the gas from the carb.

You'd both be wrong Very Happy

The ignition is bad. Spins around when key is in, if you wiggle it it'll start. So new ignition it is Smile Once we figured that out it runs perfect, old gas and all Smile

Glad you got it sorted. I still have my Grizz half way apart. Did I mention what a PITA it is to take a Grizzly carb off! lol
